Was there ghost ?

Many of us believe in existence of ghosts n spirits and some not. Those believe in it say that if God exists so do ghosts butis that the only reason to believe in them ? Some of us in India say that mostly illeterate village people in them and it just aproduct of mere superstition and illusion of mind. May be but I would like to bring to the light that existence of these super natural elements is believed all over the world even in most developed countries of europe where 99 % of the people are literate.Every year huge investment goes into making of horror movies and shows to cash people fear of uknown. Even though they are too dramatised and far from realailty we get afraid with shiver tickling down our spine with increased heart bits because of our faith in supernaturals. Though I have seen people enjoying it like any murder mystery movie or as a comedy movie as my brother . I feel pity at ghosts shwon in movies with face covered with red black paint similar to a clown in circus. Some are so humorous and dramatic that it may shake belief of even people believing in them like hell.

I am not ashamed to say that I believe in them. My parents are from village and they tell several such stories related to them or someone familiar to them . How can I not trust them even though personally I never had a chance to experience any such thing in my own life untill 2008 .
Before I start to tell this incident I would like to bring to your notce that though I always believed in ghost and am bit scared of them but its all normal and natural to eveybody. I m not like people who think that ghosts are always chasing them, cannot stay back in home alone in night or are too scared of darkness.

The incident -
I used to live in one of then house in crowded area of Mahipalpur, New Delhi. It was 4 story building with six seperate rooms on each floor. I used to share one of the rooms on the top floor with my college friend Sarwesh. One fine morning I was ready to go to office but Sarwesh was still asleep as he was awake late in night. I thought not to be disturb to lock the door, just pulled it and went to office. Few hours he called me and told me that my laptop whcich I had bought three days ago worth rupees 50,000 along with other valuable itmes like his mobile and purse has been stolen ! Theft was not uncommon to our over crowded building what it was limited to shoes, clothes hanged to dry, garbage bucktes and other such small things .This kind of major incident had happpened for first time.

I was sad as I had to wait for 3 years to save enough money to but it but felt more bad thinking about my parents that how sorry they will feel for me after knowing this. Anyway Sarwesh and me visited all those banks of which ATM and credit cards he held to block them of any misuse then we went to police station to register a complain. It was for the first time I had gone to a police station and realised most of them were full of shit .Instead of registering the case and taking moral responsibilty to theft in their area they started abusing us for our carelessness. One even said that I am filing a false complaint to get money from insurance ! After several hours we realised it was totatly useless wasting time in police station so came back to our room. It was really a long sad and tiring day. Both of us mood was off but his face had turned dark becuse of guilt . I said him just ease and relax as this just a small materialistic loss which and I may buy a laptop again in just 2-3 months salary if I find a better job.We both are safe that is more important. Things come and go why to be so worried for it.None of us felt like eating that night but then would it make up the loss ? I cooked rice and had it with curd, till then everything was normal. After dinner he switched on his desktop computer luckly that was not stolen beacuse of bulkiness.

As I saw Katrina Kaif wallpaper I stated to shiver (even I feel like shivering writing this). Suddenly her beautiful face turned ghostly with her eyes dangerously staring at me ! How can I believe it so stared back to it but then felt that some thing is around me so I caught Sarwesh hand and soon both of us started shivering and ran out for help .Sachdeva room was open, we both were jumping shivering and making oooooooo sound as nothing else came out of our mouth as if somebody had put eggs in out mouths. Sachdeva is a strong boy he thought that we are trying to scare him so just looked at us smiling asking us to stop the drama but soon realised something is wrong and started reciting hanuman chalisa. In just 2 minutes we calmed down, returning to our senses mysteriously looked at each other .I was still holding his hand then all of a sudden he again got excited and tried to free his hand to run somewhere . I hold his hand tight fearing that he may hurt himself or someone else. After strugling to free his hand for soon he fainted . Leaving me alone in other friends took him to my room, lied on his bed and sprinkled water. When he regained consciousness I could hear his laugh followed by his cries . I was going crazy hearing this the other room ? Damn why they had left me alone .I tried to call my parents but could dail the as my hands were trembling but after several attempts successed but network was buzy . Soon friends along with Sarwesh friends came back to Schdeva room where I was standing alone.

I was made to sit on a cot in one corner of the room while Sarwesh and friends sat on a mattress on the other side. I remember that there was some strange feeking from within which I cannot explain and kept on saying that I m not feeling normal. It seemed that some kind of energy is ozing out of every part. I was in a elevated state for one hour then started feeling better. We both were sitting with our heads down till now then Sarwesh looked at me asked re you OK ? We saw in each other eyes and I again started feeling abnormal . I asked him no to look at me or talk to me as I was getting scared dont know why ? After some interval he can tried to talk to me and I again started feeling anxiety. About half an hour later when Sarwesh looked at me again, I again started to shiver but this shivering did recede like last two times when he had tried to look at me and soon my hands and legs started trembling vigourously mouth and open in shape of O making ooooooo sound as if someone is trying to come out of me from within. Sachdeva noticed that a boy from other room was standing at door step blocking the way and asked him to get away immediately. As soon as the boy left the entrance clear I came back to normal !

All were so scared that nobody sleep that night with 5 - 6 friends always surrounding both of us.Next day life was absolutely normal and nothing happened since then, we continued to live in the same room for next two years as we knew that there was no problem with room, we already had been living in it since one year before this incident.

The big question is that what went wrong that day ? Some said because of depression I felt like that but me and my close friends know that there was nothing like that. I was absolutely fine .Next day we came to know that some people had come asking for money for some religious activities knocking door to door for money. Their activity looked suspicious and most of the residents believed that they would stolen the laptop. They returned same morning and straight away headed to top most floor where we lived. Probably they would had noticed the valuables first time and finding Sarwesh in deep sleep would have returned with a plan to execute. Some people said to divert the attention from them and to scare us so that we do not take any action against them they did some thing like this !!

The effect of this incident was so deep that for more than one year I was living in fear of ghost. Each and every moment I my mind perceieved that some one is around me. Nights were more painful in particular . Fear had made my life hell .That incident haunt me even today and I cannot watch any horrow movie or show anymore.
The big question remains answered is that what those people did that day ?
Did they created mere illusion with help of magic or temporaly directed some spirit to scare us or .......
I have absolutely on idea.

Maa Gange gave life back in dream

Here I m going to share an interesting incident related to my Naani(Mother's mother). My naani like most of our older people is a great believer in God and perform puja as their most important duty .They believe that their good karma will bring peace n prosperity to the family. I have often heard people saying that someone so doing good or is very happy in his becuase of his/her parent good deeds but how many of you beleive in this ? Well may be many of us but do you have any concrete reason for this ?
Did anyone have a dream that saw while you were asleep changed your life significantly ? The dreams may not be as straight as I m going to describe but some times have hidden meaning.Older people have the knowledge to relate it to our life but people like me have absolutely no idea about it. Some type of dreams are well known .One is the if you see a priest kind of man sitting opposite on a buffalo with face towards its tail staring at you, he is Yamraaj and u r likely to die soon .This dream has been mentioned in holy text of Garud Puran which is recited on someone death. This was also shown in movie Paan Singh Tomar where Pann Singh saw this dream just before a massive encounter with police leading to his death. Another famous one is about King Akbar - One day he saw a dream that he has lost his all his teeth ! Great Paandit of the time told to him that it means longevity. We too often see dreams most of which are absurd and related to what we do or think whole day. Some may be meaning and important but we fail to relate it or doubt its importance.

Back to what my Naani saw in dream -
One day she saw a dream that while taking a holy bath in river Ganges, suddenly a Goddess appeared from water and said - Im very happy with your devotion, ask me whatever u want .
I am contented with whatever you have given to me n my family.Just bestow your blessings like this. Goddess insisted to ask for something but she gave the same answer again n again .
I have happy that despite so many problems in your life you are still contented .Yor are a very nice and kind lady and I will not go without giving you something .

Ok as u wish Maa - naani replied.

Goddess said "I return you your son's life" and disappeared . The dream was so strong that seemed to be real leaving behind her so disturbed and perplexed that each n every moment she used to pray to God for well being of her sons. One month passed nothing happened then on tenth n last day of Durga Puja my mama ( Nani' son ) was drown in Ganga while taking Goddess idol for Viserjan and later saved by fishermen !!
Is this a mere co-incidence ?

My experience of Maa Vaishno Devi Yatra

To start with I would like to share my Vaishno Devi tour incident which still mesmerises me and leaves severals questiones unanswered .
I used to think why Vaishno Devi Shrine is so hyped. What is special there that millions of peolpe flock to it every year . May be because the temple
is located in a very serene beautiful place high in himalayas. Journey to the temple is exiciting n memorable so it works like a picnic spot where
people go in groups for trekking enjoying beautiful flora fauna just like any other hill station along with an added advantage of visiting a reknowned temple.
Though I m not an atheist but always used to doubt it and blind followers that there is something very special about this place and that devi still resides there in form of some stones called pindiyas. If there is god as it is said that he/she is omnipresent so why people endeavour these places in quest of divine
experience n blessings ? Some people say that there mannat(whishes) got fulfilled so they visit this place every year while some other say that feel divine experience but when asked what about this extra ordinary experience they filled to share something concrete. A lot many people say that if so many people go there
then there must be something special about it .May be but what that is ? Faith is not bound to logic and what one believes is what one believes, simple.
Is'nt it ?
In early 2009 when I was still a 3rd year engineering student studying in a college in Agra my mother told me that she wish to goto Vaishno Devi some day .
As I said above personally I had no inclination to visit this because of divine grandeur but was gald to fulfill my mother's wish as her happiness meant much to me.
I made a plan with two college friends. Booked tickets in a hurry and called her along with my younger brother to Agra even though our ticket to jammu was not confirmed.
In train we sat here n there as we had no confirmed seats .Problem started around 10 PM when jhelum express reached Delhi where huge croud boarded the train everybody demanding
their seats to rest in night . We were in constant touch with ticket collector to give us minimum one seat so that at least my mother can rest.He said that train is over crowded and so no empty seat is available. I was worried and  quilty of not able to make proper arragements while friends, brother n my mother all standing in running train trying to some how manage themselves and luggage.
Suddenly ticket collector came to me around 11 PM and to my surpise offered four berths and I gladly accepted it.
In the morning my mother had a severe headache in want of tea.Morning tea is an integral part of her daily routine and has become much of a habit. She starts household only after having a cup of tea.
One thing I forgot to tell you that my mother is great devotee of goddess Durga and every day puja is must for her .She wakes around 4 am takes bath, performs her puja which lasts around 6 am followed by a cup of tea
and house activities. Her health has been a major concern for last 20 years due to major neuro, ortho and several other problems .Her puja routine is only interrupted when is too weak to get up from bed or dizziness.
Now back to train, she drank several cups of tea sold by vendors but her headache failed to recede as tea sold by them hardly had anything like real tea. We started having litti (sattu stuffed bread iconic to Bihar) as breakfast
but had failed to bring sauce.Weather was cold and dry so litties were hard n difficult to swallow.
We caught one pantry staff and demanded for some sauce, seeing us eating litti he got excited and enquired about our home town. In conservation we came to know that pantry man was from my mother's neighbouring village. Happy to serve us he brought
plates overbrimming with sauce and when he came to know that my mother had headache for tea he went running retuning with a cups of tea. He said that this is special tea made of real dense milk unlike being sold by vendors and is only served to
railway employees. He was very friendly and helping, brought cultelts and samosas offering us for free !
As we reached Jammu he came again to help us, lifted as much luggage he could ignoring our all request not to take any trouble and asked us to follow to a restaurent visited by most of railway employees. He was a known figure in the there and
himself served lunch taking so much care of everything as if we were special guest to his home. He was even paying for our food but we did not allow him to do so .He asked the owner of the restaurant to take minimum as we were his close relatives.
He took only 100 rupees for unlimited food for five ! The food was very good and I thought what a treat  just reaching Jammu. My mother had to buy a shaul for the yatra so he took us to a known shop and bargained with owner for it. Finally
carrying maximum luggage himself he took us to bus stand to ply to katra, touched my mother feet and said to me that he can bring fresh apples to agra and I can collect from station. After exchanging phone numbers he left leaving me buffled as why as a stranger he took so much pain without having any benefit of it ? Even though he had
said that he can bring boxes of fresh apple whenever I want to, I was convinced that he is not going to do so . A gutt  feeling came to me that he is like a messanger of godess come to help only for this trip. Though my belief had no logic but it was true as he never picked my
phone nor he tried to call me ever after .

You may say that this is mere co incident, yes may be but lets move on the yatra had just started.

We stated our 14 km long yatra same night and though my mother was ill and weak she refused to a take a palanquin or pony . After about half a kilometer my mother got very tired and we had to take a break .After resting for 10 -15 minutes we started again but soon had to take second break. It was obivious as she even used to get tired soon walking on
flat, non inclined city roads and mountain climb required much more effort .Some how we climbed up to 2 km but by then she was totally exhausted and had no strength to go further. It was february month cold night in mountains adding to her problems. We rested there for some time so that she may regain some strength but her condition didt not improve much. Finally
she closed her eyes and started praying to the Goddess and soon we started again . She started slowly but soon gained unmatched pace leaving us all behind even after trying our best to match her speed. Next 12 km she travelled without a single break not slowing down for even for a moment ! So many times I asked her to take rest as myself desperately needed some but she continued. It was no less than a miracle . One may say that strong determination would have fuelled her to carry on but just determination only can do that ? Can I fly even if I m very determined ? I was bound to believe that there is someone who is helping her climb so fast as if flying. Tears rolled down my cheeks, I wished
my mother could always have this strength so that her life becomes less miserable. We reached around four in morning, had some rest and went to the temple after bath . As soon as we entered the temple it was closed for two hours and we were extremely lucky to be in temple for such a long time. While coming down I never left her hand as I was anxious
that she may tumble, she was coming down so fast ! At ardhkumari it started raining so we took shelter in a shop. Temperature was going down quickly so wanted to get down as quickly as possible, my mother despite all warm wollens clothes was shivering . We all were worried and decided not to goto cave as there was atleast 2-3 hours waiting. As rain stopped and we were about to leave
I saw an isolated vermillion box on bench with nobody near around. I decided not to take it but then my mother noticed and picked it, within a minute a red chunari came flying from some were and rested near my mother feet ! Every body was amazed by this miracle.
The yatra was a huge success, next day when we reached Jammu around 9 PM to catch train to Agra we came to know that due to bomb blast in Samjhauta Express, train is late by 5 hours and will depart from jammu at 4 AM. We all were tired and exhausted so fell asleep after dinner on the sation depite our every effort to remain awake .Exactly at 4 am I woke up somebody saying to me that dont you have to catch
train ? I woke in a flash saw every body deep sleep curled up in their blankets. I woke them up, collected all our belongings and ran for the train .It was jsut about to leave when we reached the platform but we managed to board in time .
So friends this way our miracalous Maa Vaishno Devi Yatra came to an end . So what you have to say ?
I just have to say one line - Jai Maa Vaishno Devi.
